We had the opportunity to spend a few days with my son Daniel in his new home in New Castle, KY this last weekend, and a wonderful visit it was.

The weather was exceptional, with lows in the 40's and highs in the 70's every day. The leaves were just beginning to turn, so the colors were just beginning to show how the coming glory of the fall.

We visited Louisville and saw several great sites, including the seminary, the area around the river, downtown, and greatly enjoyed the time with Daniel.

We had the chance to visit the church where he was recently elected full-time pastor and hear him preach on Sunday morning, meet the wonderful people who have taken him into their church family so lovingly, share a Sunday pot-luck lunch with them, and thank God for this wonderful congregation who are so convinced that God brought Daniel to them. What a joy! Everyone we spoke with was so thankful for Daniel and expressed again and again how much he means to them. We met so many people who are enjoying having the opportunity to feed him! (Which he is also greatly enjoying!) And after the pot-luck lunch, I can personally attest to the fact that they are doing this exceptionally well!

He's very happy to be serving at a church that loves and supports him, loves his new home, and is continuing work on his seminary degree.

His church is First Baptist Church, New Castle, KY. - www.newcastlefirstbaptist.org, and you can always catch his blog at http://manofmist414.wordpress.com/

His home church, FBC Baton Rouge, has scheduled an ordination service for the last weekend in October, which we wouldn't miss for anything.

Love you, son! Proud of what God is doing in and through you.

See you again soon.

The Lowry Family Photo

We were privileged to spend Christmas this year at my daughter's house in Zachary, LA. Her family hosted the whole bunch, my two sons, my wife & me, and my parents. And we had a BALL! Here's the family photo, (after 3 or 4 tries), and you can see all the smiles. What a wonderful family we have. Thanks, everyone, for the memories!
